Daniel Kidd graduated cum laude from Indiana University Law School in 1996 and was admitted to practice law in Tennessee in 1997. Since that time, he has represented thousands of individuals and small and medium-sized businesses in Knox County and the surrounding areas. He practices in all state and federal courts and has built a solid reputation of integrity, hard-work, honesty and reliability.
Daniel Kidd was born and raised in Indiana. He graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis in 1978. After high school, he worked at Eli Lilly & Company and attended Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) part-time until he earned his undergraduate degree in English. He enrolled in Indiana University Law School in Bloomington in 1994 and earned top honors for Torts, Contracts and American Legal History. As a first year law student, Dan Kidd worked with the Appalachian Legal Research and Defense Fund (APLRD) in Columbia, Kentucky. During his second summer at law school, he worked in Oneida, Wisconsin with the Oneida Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. He graduated with Honors in 1996.
He moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1997 and after being admitted to practice, he opened his own law offices in Knoxville and Maryville. The Maryville office is now closed but he continues to practice in all of East Tennessee, focusing primarily on general civil litigation, including all aspects of family law (divorce, custody, visitation, child support, Orders of Protection, etc.), adoption, consumer protection, wills and estates, property disputes, debt collection protection and bankruptcy alternatives, appeals, and small business matters.
